Day in the Life of a Happy Oiler: Work Edition

I just wanted to share with you guys how I learned to add essential oils into my everyday routine. I hope you enjoy!

5:00am- Wake Up Call! I usually hit snooze three or four (maybe even five) times before I actually get up and out of bed. Who else has multiple alarms like me?

5:30am- Scroll through my emails: personal, essential oil, and academia. This allows me to prepare for my day. I know what to (kind of) expect when I do this step.

5:40am- (5:40ish) I head into the bathroom to take care of business. I've begun incorporating Lavender, Cedarwood, and Frank into my skincare routine: splash face with cold water to wake up, cleanse, tone, and moisturize. I normally throw my hair in a top-knot and slap on some homemade peppermint chapstick before getting dressed.

6:10am- (6:10ish) I feed my two furry children their expensive Alaskan Salmon food and give them plenty of fresh water before opening the back door to let them outside to use the restroom. During that time I usually fill up my >>Dew Drop Diffuser (from my Premium Starter Kit)<< with water and diffuse Vetiver and Lavender for my two precious pups.

6:15am- It's breakfast time! Lately I have been all about different avocado-mash toast. (Basic, I know) Putting some chia seeds, sesame seeds, and a drizzle of sriracha sauce have been my go to. However, if I am feeling a bit lazy I reach for honey nut cheerios and organic milk or almond milk. (Or if I overslept, then it's a granola bar and tumbler of water) Here's how I make my yummy avocado mash:

1 ripe avocado
1 drop of Lime Vitality Essential Oil
1 drop of Black Pepper Vitality Essential Oil
small pinch of garlic salt

Mash the avocado-goodness in a small bowl and smear on your favorite toast. Top with whatever you're feeling that morning.

6:45am- I use this a me time. I usually put the finishing touches on for the day and dab some oils on. Lately I've been using the Tranquil Roll-On, Abundance, Peace & Calming, Lavender, Joy, and Stress Away (Can you pick up on a trend here? LOL). I usually watch the morning news, or catch up on some reality TV reruns (who knows, lol) and sip on my organic blend of Kona Coffee that I receive from Melaleuca.

7:20am- I say goodbye to my pups (and hubby- depends on what shift he's working) and head out to work.

8:00am- I arrive in my office. I wipe my desk down with Thieves Cleaner. I put a drop of Thieves into my hand lotion for that extra boost of wellness throughout the day. I usually don't fill my diffuser up at 8:00am because I like to see how my office is (sneaky huh?) (hehehehe).

8:30am- I get a feel for the office and I add 4-6 drops of oil into my diffuser. Lately I have been using Abundance, Awaken, Grapefruit, Citrus Fresh, Lavender, Stress Away, Orange/Tangerine or Peppermint. This gets the office in shape for the day and I begin my work (by talking with students of course) for the sake of the day, I chose to diffuse Tangerine and Spearmint in the office. Everyone was in a chipper mood and I wanted to enhance that feeling by sparking up a feel good aroma in the office. (I can't tell you how many times I've have students or colleagues come into my office when I'm diffusing Stress Away and  watch their entire attitude change- this is just another reason I'm a believer)

The time between I snack on nuts, cheese, deli meat, or crackers. I apply stress-away behind my ears and abundance on my wrists throughout the day to weep in the benefits of these oils.

12:30pm- Lunch time. Wil and I have been meal prepping our lunches by using the Clean Eatz in place in Shalimar, FL. Perfectly portioned meals under 500 calories and ready to go- this makes lunch a breeze. During this time I like to network on my phone with friends from across the world that are interested in essential oils >>my side hustle<<.

1:30pm- I refill my diffuser this time. It is still Tangerine and Spearmint. I continue my work day and snacks before the work day is over

4:30pm- Drive home

5:00pm- Change into comfy lounge clothes, wash hands, and begin diffusing Orange and Black Spruce Northern Lights as I let the dogs outside again and wind down from the day. This time I like to grab a glass of chai tea and catch up on reality TV (or the news) LOL.

6:15pm- (6:15ish)- Take the dogs on a short little 30 minute walk around the neighborhood.

7:00pm- Begin cooking dinner, tonight I am making grilled chicken fettuccine alfredo with a side of steamed broccoli.

7:30pm- Get food plated and ready. The dogs are tuckered out, so I let them rest while I set the dinner on the table. Hubby comes home from work (Thank you lawd!)

8:15pm- we both wind down. I usually rub some Tranquil on him to help him relax from his hectic, secretive, and stressful job. Meanwhile I slater on some Aroma Sieze for my sore and achy muscles. We clean up, wash dishes, get ready for bed.

8:30pm- We're relaxed in bed, I've put Lavender, Vetiver, and Cedarwood into the diffuser in our room and we usually watch a little bit of HGTV OR Food Network before calling it a night around 10:00pm.
