4 of my happiest memories

Thursday, October 19, 2017

The cooler days seem to have me reflect on my memories; what they are, who they were with, what was being done, and how I feel about them now. I'm starting these memories off by my life timeline- what happened first...

1. The day I was finally Diagnosed with Neuromyelitis Optica: September 2006
If you haven't read my blog for long, I recommend you starting >>HERE<< and reading my story about my diagnosis of Neuromyelitis Optica. Why is it one of the happiest days of my life? Simple, After months of being mis-diagnosed with everything from stress, mental illness, multiple sclerosis, to transverse myelitis- I finally knew what was ailing me. Each year for the entire month of September I thank God, my friends, my family, my doctors, and my support system for guiding me in life. For allowing me to never give up and to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Living with NMO isn't a walk in the park, but it's shaped me into the person I am today, which makes me happy.

2. The day I said "I do" to my husband of nearly 5 years: February 2013
Wil and I had a whirlwind romance. When we met we became friends, then best friends, and the lovers. Only months after dating, he proposed. 1 year later we tied the knot in front of 16 family members and best friends. We had a rocky start to our marriage in the beginning, but have learned to grow, nurture, and love each other. I never thought I would get married when I was younger, but Wil was put into my life and it has been such an adventure.

3. When Wil and I took a cruise to the Bahamas: September 2016
Our first true vacation together (no dogs, no cell phones, no internet, no social media) was last September when we took a Carnival Cruise from Jacksonville, FL to the Bahamas. You can read about that travel adventure and see some pictures >>HERE<<. Despite having a rough cruise (thanks, NMO and Vertigo) it was an enjoyable vacation we got to experience together. I still want to go on another cruise, maybe somewhere with calmer waters. Any tips?

4. The day I invested in my wellness by saving for a Young Living Premium Starter Kit: January 2017
It's no secret that I am absolutely passionate about essential oils. Just look at my Instagram or Facebook for the proof. But, I wanna let you in on a little secret y'all. I wasn't always like this. In fact, I laughed at oil users for thinking essential oils could ever work. When my mom got her Young Living essential oils, she was so excited to share that with me. She gave me a bunch of her starter kit oils and I just put them on my shelf and didn't use them. That was in 2010/2011. Fast forward about 7 years later and here I am jumping for joy about how freaking fantastic these oils are for me and my little familia. I use them for EVERYTHING; air purification, relaxation, perfume, wellness, aches/pain, nail polish remover, cleaner, laundry, and even for hygienic purposes. They're replaced most of the toxic crap in my house and I feel that strong joy and passion to share these bottles with everyone! You like to live a well rested, stress-free, healthy life-yeah? Let these oils be game changers for you and your family. Let me share with you all the oily goodness with you. Just browse my blog, you'll see my passion for them. ;-)
